Is CCSP a good certification?

The question many people often ask is "What certification should I get?" Well, as a student and aspiring IT professional, you may have noticed that the IT world is changing quickly. This post looks at one of the newest certifications to hit the market: CCSP Certification (Certified Cloud Security Professional). The goal of this post is to examine what such certification means for students and professionals alike, what the requirements are, and whether it is even worth pursuing at this point in time. CCSP was first presented at the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) event in November 2017. However, as of May 2018, there is still no sign of it being available for the actual study. Some people are already asking questions about what this will mean for them and their security careers. So let's explore this new certification and why the wait may be worth it.

What is a AWS Certified Solutions Architect?

AWS Certified Solutions Architect examinations are designed to validate a candidate's knowledge of the various AWS product sets. The objective of the examination is to assess, through comprehensive, multiple-choice questions and answers in multiple domains, whether candidates have a detailed knowledge of how AWS services work and how they can be deployed with other AWS services to address customer needs. CSA certification distinguishes experienced AWS professionals from other IT professionals. An individual who holds the AWS CSA certification has demonstrated proficiency in designing distributed applications and systems that leverage AWS services. The professional can design, develop, and deploy secure, scalable, and cost-efficient solutions using AWS infrastructure services.
