If you're new to Microsoft Azure, getting your Azure certification could be a good idea. It's an indication to potential employers that you have experience and proficiency with the Microsoft cloud platform and its related technologies. When I was looking for a job in cloud computing, I whipped out my certificate as soon as I found one: it showed potential employers that I was legitimate in their eyes. (The certificate is basically a "proven" skill set, which you have to have in order to get the certification. There are no official tests for it or exams to take.) On the other hand, if you already have Azure certification and you're doing cloud consulting work, it might not make much sense to renew your certifications since they'll be perceived as redundant and pointless.
