What is the cost of GCP certification?

The cost of GCP certification is the fee you pay to take the exam required by Google. The price varies depending on your location, the type of exam you want, and if you can get a discount.

Paying $189 for a GCP certification isn't cheap, but this is standard across all certifications in Google's Certification program. If you're looking to break into major industries like software development or IT management and start off with a higher salary than your peers who fell too short on their schooling, it's worth it.

The cost of GCP certification is one of the reasons it's easier to break into Google than other tech giants.

GCP certification isn't anything new, but it did get a lot more attention recently as people began to raise questions online about the cost of obtaining this certification and what else Google was doing with their data.

It took me several months to find out that the price of GCP certification changed around this time last year. At the time, I asked Google about the change, and they confirmed it.

But I didn't find out about this price increase until around a few months later.

I did some research on GCP certification and found that my story wasn't unique. Most people didn't know anything about it—hiding in the depths of Google's tech support forums—as they had never needed to take a GCP certification exam before.
