You want to dive into the world of programming and find an AWS developer certification that fits your skill level, right? The good news is that there's a lot out there and it might not be as difficult or expensive as you think.
In this blog post, we're going to review two of the AWS developer certifications, SageMaker and Data Pipeline Developer. We'll go over what they're like, what skills they test for, who should take them, how much they cost, and how long they take.
Before you begin, there are a few things you need to know. First of all, the AWS certification program is entirely separate from the hiring process. The certifications are not required in order to work at AWS (although they can help). Also, it helps to have some experience with AWS-specific topics before you take the exams (and it's even better if you have experience on the platform itself). Otherwise, you'll need some time to learn on your own before you can get started.
The AWS certification exams are also difficult, so be prepared to spend at least two weeks of solid study before attempting the exam. In some cases, that's not even enough time! Also remember that you will have to pay for the certification exams. However, they're not terribly expensive and that cost is more than covered by the great benefits of the certifications themselves.
